Pineapple fiber hemp

Pineapple fiber is also known as Gulana fiber (Amazon name), Pina fiber (Mexican name), or silky phloem fiber. They are from the pineapple leaves of the bromeliaceae. It also includes wild pineapple fiber or Colombian pineapple fiber or Ager Khan pineapple fiber, Caroa leaf fiber (Brazilian name), Carats pineapple leaf fiber, etc.

Pineapple fiber is pineapple leaf fiber, also known as pineapple hemp, is extracted from the pineapple leaves fiber, belongs to the leaf hemp fiber. Pineapple fibers are composed of many fiber bundles, each fiber bundle consisting of 10 to 20 single fiber cells.

The fiber surface is rough, with longitudinal gaps and holes, transverse branches, and no natural distortion. Monofibrillar cells are cylindrical, with pointed ends, a smooth surface and a linear midcavity. Pineapple fiber appearance is white, soft and smooth, feel like silk, so there is the title of pineapple silk.

After deep processing, pineapple fiber is white, soft and smooth, and can be mixed with natural fiber or synthetic fiber. The fabric woven is easy to print and dye, sweat and breathable, crisp and unwrinkled, and comfortable to wear.

Pineapple fiber can be made by hand or mechanical stripping, mechanical stripping using ramie or jute stripping machine, after obtaining the leaves for green treatment, and then fully washed with water, sun drying, the oxidation of sunlight to make the fiber white and bright, that is, pineapple leaves scraping green water to dry the raw hemp. The pineapple fiber after proper chemical treatment can be spinning on cotton spinning equipment, wool spinning equipment, flax and jute spinning equipment.
